Universal Says The Time Is Now

High school for a lot of people does not incite the fondest of memories. I went to three different high schools so I never really got settled anywhere, which made my experience a lot more pleasant and exciting. And it also gave me a lot more time to myself, which is great for getting lost into the world of writing (and avoiding parties like the bubonic plague).

According to Hollywood Reporter, one brave man is going to travel back to the lowly days of high school. Universal pictures has picked up How Soon Is Now?, a comedy pitch from Jason Major and Patrick T. Gorman. They created the hit stage show “The Star Wars Trilogy in 30 Minutes”. Scott Stuber and Mary Parent will produce.

The story follows Tom Mcgregor, who travels back in time to high school in 1985. While visiting, he tries to fix the three worst days of his life in order to give himself a better future. No word yet on just what happened to the poor lad during this minor stretch of time. Major and Gorman will begin writing the screenplay immediately.
