WB Wants Freud's Interpretation Of Murder

Sigmund Freud is about to become embroiled in murder. Warner Brothers has bought up the rights to a book called "Interpretation of Murder". Written by Jed Rubenfeld, the historical crime mystery begins with Freud and his protégé Carl Jung visiting New York in 1909 just as a mad killer hacks his way through the beauties of high society. Another former protégé of Freud starts investigating and ends up learning the secrets of Sigmund.

What's interesting to me is that the book is based on actual events. Freud did visit New York in 1909 and there were a string of murders that coincided with his visit. It was the one and only time Freud visited America, and that visit prompted him to label all Americans as savages.

I wonder what Sigmund Freud would say about this obsession over his life? He'd probably have some analysis ready that indicated we all secretly want to screw rice pudding… while thinking of our mothers.

Right now WB just owns the rights, we'll have to see what they do with them.
