You Can Get Agent Coulson's Captain America Trading Cards
Whether you are a dedicated comic book fan or just a lover of big and bold blockbusters, Joss Whedon's The Avengers was an absolute marvel. Not only did he do what seemed impossible—balancing the character arcs of six very distinct superheroes—he also delivered an invigorating cinematic event that paid tribute to comic book nerds without falling into hokey fan service.
One of the best geeky moments was the revelation that the formerly stoic Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) is deep down a fanboy. When Coulson lost his trademark cool to ask Captain America to autograph his treasured vintage trading cards, it was clear he was a mirror to the countless audience members who know well the burning thrill of geeking out. And coming soon, the specialty shop eFX will be giving the chance for Avengers devotees to own their fandom in a new form by offering special edition Captain America trading cards, with or without the blood applied by the manipulative Nick Fury. Check them out below thanks to Superhero Hype:
eFX formed in 2007, and since then their diligent craftsmanship in reproducing "screen accurate" movie props for the public has awarded them licensing contracts for Star Wars, Star Trek Legacy, The Muppets, Disney and Marvel. The trading cards above will be available for purchase on October 16th, and replicas of Thor's hammer Mjolnir and his flashy winged helmet will be out in time for Halloween. Available now are three beautifully rendered Captain America posters that you can admire below:
The Avengers is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
