Which MCU Character Star-Lord Should Interact With, According To Chris Pratt

Star-Lord

We're all waiting for that inevitable team-up between The Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been eagerly awaiting Star-Lord meeting the fellow time-displaced Captain America or Rocket Racoon trying to steal Bucky's arm (because he really needs it). Moviegoers have concocted their own dream scenarios, but so has Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt. And the actor has a personal favorite character that he thinks would be really fun to see interact with Star-Lord: Trevor Slattery, the fake Mandarin from Iron Man 3.

Just kidding! It's actually the Punisher from Netflix/Marvel's Daredevil, but can you imagine if it was Slattery?

I would like Peter Quill to meet the Punisher. He's not in the Avengers, but talking Marvel Cinematic Universe, I think it would be cool for Peter Quill, the Punisher was my favorite growing up, so I think it would be cool for me to meet him.

While doing press for The Magnificent Seven, Chris Pratt was asked by We Got This Covered which MCU character he wanted Star-Lord to meet. After joking that he doesn't know what Marvel or the fans will allow him to say, he chose the Punisher. The take no prisoners vigilante was a favorite of Pratt's while growing up, so it would be a personal fantasy achieved to interact with the character. While some people might hope for the Guardians to meet someone higher up on the chain, meeting the Punisher would certainly make for a fun and "out there" team-up.

The Punisher made his MCU debut in Daredevil Season Two on Netflix. Played by Jon Bernthal, the character was a massive highlight of the season, with a tragic backstory and some hugely memorable fight scenes (how about that prison fight?). The dark vigilante was so well received that it didn't take long for Netflix to announce that a Punisher spin-off series was in the works.

Unfortunately, a Star-Lord and Punisher team-up doesn't seem likely in the near future. As previously been reported, it's extremely hard to get movie and TV characters in the MCU to meet up. The films and TV shows are two entirely different legal, directorial, and writing departments, so it's a logistical nightmare to get anything organized. Though people would love to see the Defenders out in space helping to fight Thanos or Coulson finally telling the Avengers he's alive, it doesn't seem to be in the cards.

Punisher

We may not see him with The Punisher, but you can next see Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which hits theaters May 5, 2017.
