Chris Pine Talks To Us About Wonder Woman, But We're Still Getting Used To His Shaved Head

Chris Pine is in the upcoming Wonder Woman movie. He's playing trusty friend of Wonder Woman Steve Trevor, and as such will have a sizable role in one of this summer's biggest blockbusters. Because of this, we were super excited to hear what he had to say about playing Steve Trevor at CinemaCon. That is, until he popped up to do interviews alongside director Patty Jenkins with a head that was as bald as a badger's backside.

So, there it is ladies and gentlemen, Chris Pine without a full head of hair. Of course, the actor still has the vivid eyes and nice physique to pull off the look, but it's still a shock to see him looking more like a jarhead than the suave looking Captain Kirk. You may be guessing that Chris Pine has shaved his head for a role, but if that is your theory, you'd be very wrong, as he told E! that he was "bored" and at home with the flu when he started watching Homeland, which inspired him to cut off his hair. Pine also says he hasn't had his hair this short since he was a teenager, which really isn't shocking. If you got a full head of hair, a good percentage of dudes choose to flaunt it until the day they are forced to shave it all off. Pine really seems to be embracing that bald is beautiful, though.

chris pine as a bald man

If you can get over the whole fact that Chris Pine opted to shave his handsome head of hair on a whim, he had a lot to tell us about what to expect from his character while at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Steve Trevor is a spy and on set the actor got to spend a slew of time with Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot. Here's what else we can expect from his character in the new movie:

Steve is a realist. He's seen the war. He's a man that knows secrets. He's a spy. But really, my job is, I had to fall in love with Gal Gadot, make some jokes, jump over some stuff, breathe heavily...

Sounds like it was a good gig, overall, although this time he didn't touch on the "morally relevant" themes he has brought up in the past. And we'll find out soon enough what the rapport between Steve Trevor and Diana Prince will be like. Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 2, 2017.
