One MCU Actor Keeps Begging To Be Brought Back

The following contains a spoiler for Avengers: Infinity War.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a massive beast, which means countless actors have appeared in it in roles from cameos to superhero leads. It's not surprising that some of them might want to come back. Of course, while fans always wonder if major characters like say, Red Skull, might make an appearance in the MCU again one day, people probably don't wonder about Gary the cameraman from Iron Man 3. However, Adam Palley, who played Gary, clearly does remember, and he's apparently been begging to return. According to Palley...

I would say that I text Joe and Anthony Russo four or five times a year reminding them that my character is alive in the Marvel Universe. There's gotta be a new Iron Man somewhere. I don't know why it couldn't be the camera guy.

To be clear, it's not just some random actor texting the directors of Avengers: Infinity War. Adam Palley had a role on the brief ABC sitcom Happy Endings, which was produced by Joe and Anthony Russo and the pair even directed a few episodes, including the pilot, so Palley has a relationship with the pair who are the current keepers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As such, Palley has a direct line to them, and apparently uses it to remind them that his character survived Iron Man 3, and thus could be brought back at any time.

If you don't remember Gary, he was a slightly obsessive Tony Stark fan in the third Iron Man movie who got the chance to meet his idol and had a little trouble controlling himself. Check him out in the clip below.

Of course, we wonder if this interview with Entertainment Weekly was done prior to Avengers: Infinity War being released, because, as we know now, we can't just assume that Gary the cameraman is still alive. If we didn't see the character on screen during the finale of the movie, then it's a coin flip whether or not they're still alive. Unless, of course, Adam Palley texted the Russos after seeing the movie to ask if his character was still alive, which is exactly what I would do in his shoes.

With Avengers 4 being the end of Phase Three and also the expected end of a big part of the current MCU, it would seem like the perfect time to let us catch up with a lot of these small characters one last time. Although, it's unlikely the movie will have the time, what with all of the galaxy saving that the heroes will need to do.
