Hidden Camera Found In Women's Bathroom Where Bond 25 Is Being Shot

Bond trekking through the snow

For a movie about a secret agent and a clandestine organization, Bond 25 is having problems keeping things hush hush and has repeatedly found itself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. The latest issue doesn’t really have to do with the film itself, but is troubling nonetheless. A hidden camera was found in a women’s bathroom where Bond 25 is being shot.

The next James Bond movie, for the moment going by the Bond 25-placeholder moniker, is currently filming at the famed Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England. According to CNN, a hidden camera was recently found in the women’s toilets at Pinewood Studios.

Upon discovery of the concealed camera, police were notified and a 49-year-old man was arrested this past Friday in connection with the incident. The man who was arrested has been charged with voyeurism and was expected to appear in court over the weekend.

Thankfully, the camera was discovered and an arrest was made, but it is horrible that something like this happened. In addition to all the stress inherent in moviemaking, the people working hard on the set of Bond 25 have to worry about the safety and privacy of going to the bathroom. Presumably and hopefully this was just the work of one creep, and with him under arrest, things can move forward in a safer environment.

While this gross and illegal incident is in no way indicative of the production’s issues in the way director changes, script issues or injuries are, it is just another bit of negative news associated, albeit indirectly with Bond 25, a film that seems like it could seriously use a bit of good luck.

The next 007 movie, which is expected to be the last one starring Daniel Craig as the famed spy, has seen a long road to production and theater screens. An explosion injured a crew member on set and Daniel Craig suffered an ankle injury while filming that, while not expected to further delay the film, is obviously less than ideal.

In addition, there were recent rumors of a crew mutiny on set relating to director Cary Joji Fukunaga showing up late after an intense gaming session. The director refuted those rumors, but it all paints a picture of a movie that can’t seem to catch much of a break. We may not have clearly understood Daniel Craig’s former reticence to return to the franchise, but nobody could blame him if he hangs it up after this movie.

We still don’t have an official plot synopsis for the film, but there are reports that it could see 007 fighting against genetic warfare. Bond 25 stars returning actors Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Jeffrey Wright, Léa Seydoux and Naomi Harris, as well as newcomers Ana de Armas and new Oscar winner Rami Malek.

Bond 25 is scheduled to open in theaters on April 8, 2020. Check out our 2019 Release Schedule to see what’s headed your way the rest of this year.
