While superhero trailers are always big news, the first footage from Spider-Man: No Way Home is on another level. Tom Holland’s teaser broke the internet, and has broken records for viewership as fans dissect every frame. But the Cherry actor was on an airplane when the Spider-Man 3 trailer dropped, and shared a delighted response after turning his phone back on.

Given Tom Holland’s busy schedule, he no doubt spends a ton of time in the air. And that’s exactly what happened when the long-awaited trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home finally arrived online. But Holland eventually turned on his phone and saw the reception for the clip. He responded, saying:

Hey Everyone, I’m at the airport. I’ve been flying for the last 10 hours. So, I actually didn’t post the [Spider-Man: No Way Home] trailer; my brother Harry did. So, I haven’t been able to see the reactions and how excited everyone is. So, I’ve just landed and turned on my phone and my phone has gone mental. The love and support you guys have shown for the film is so exciting. Honestly, that is just the tip of the iceberg. You have no idea what else is to come. I’m so excited to share more with you guys and uh it feels so good to be back as Spider-Man, to be showing you trailers to be having films coming out.

Well, that’s certainly intriguing. It looks like there’s going to be way more surprises coming in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Indeed, there are still plenty of unanswered questions about what Jon Watts’s threequel will contain. Luckily, we’re just a few months away from its release.

Tom Holland’s comments come from his Instagram Story, posting about Spider-Man: No Way Home once he was back on the ground. It looks like his phone blew up once the first teaser arrived, with fans like myself watching it multiple times to not miss a thing. And while some questions were answered as a result of this footage, there are still plenty of theories and rumors swirling about the movie’s contents.

The star of Spider-Man: No Way Home referred to the teaser as merely the “tip of the iceberg”, so the story could seemingly go anywhere. It’s clear that Phase Four of the MCU will be leaning heavily on the concept of the multiverse. After all, both Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe were confirmed to be reprising their roles from the original Spider-Man franchise in the quick teaser.

Of course, the biggest rumor about Spider-Man: No Way Home is that past Peter Parker actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield might be appearing in major roles. While both Garfield and Tom Holland have denied this possibility, they may be simply keeping the movie’s secrets. After all, three different Spideys would certainly make those “tip of the iceberg” comments make sense.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently set to arrive in theaters on December 17th. In the meantime, check out the 2021 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
