Gwyneth Paltrow Sued Over Reported Hit And Run Ski Accident
A man from Utah is filing a lawsuit against Gwyneth Paltrow, claiming that the Academy Award-winning actress seriously injured him during a recent skiing venture. As it was reported this week, Paltrow is being blamed for a "hit-and-run ski crash," which reportedly left the injured gentleman with a brain injury and four broken ribs. The person suing Paltrow says in his lawsuit that she left him on the mountain without getting any help or assistance.
As it was reported by CBS News, Terry Sanderson is the person who is suing Gwyneth Paltrow for reportedly fleeing the scene after the skiing accident occurred, and allegedly leaving him in critical danger following a serious crash in a Park City ski resort in 2016. He believes the famous face of Goop had "got up, turned and skiied away," according to his lawsuit, which left Sanderson "stunned" and "lying in the snow" while he was very critically injured.
Terry Sanderson also claims that one of the ski instructors at Deer Valley Resort, where the incident occurred, denied that Gwyneth Paltrow caused the crash, despite not seeing the crash. Sanderson also claims that the instructor reportedly "screamed" at him and said he caused the crash.
Gwyneth Paltrow and her legal team denies these allegations, claiming that the lawsuit is "completely without merit." Her defense claims that "anyone who reads the facts" about the situation will realize that the lawsuit is false; the actress believes she's innocent in this recent high-profile legal case. These quotes came from a statement released by Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle and wellness company, which has received its own controversies.
But Terry Sanderson does have one person on his side. A witness who reportedly saw the crash happen claims that Sanderson is speaking the truth in his account. In a video statement presented by Sanderson's attorney, the witness claims Paltrow "hit him in the back" during the 2016 skiing accident.
The alleged accident occurred on February 26th, 2016, to be more specific, and it reportedly happened on the beginner's run at the Deer Valley Resort located in Salt Lake City. Terry Sanderson filed the suit on Tuesday, and he claims that Gwyneth Paltrow left him with emotional and physical distress.
Emily Summers, a spokesperson for Deer Valley Resort, claims the skiing destination cannot comment on this ongoing legal proceeding. It should also be noted that, in addition to this lawsuit directed by Gwyneth Paltrow, Terry Sanderson is also suing the resort for their failure to help him. He also claims that several people at Deer Valley Resort didn't offer medical calls for assistance after Sanderson's critical skiing accident occurred.
