Jason Biggs And His Wife Hired A Prostitute, And You Can Read All About It

Yesterday I came across a headline that read something like "Jason Biggs and his wife hired a prostitute," and couldn't come up with any reaction beyond a shrug. Who really wants to know about the private sexual exploits of married people, even if the guy in question is the dude who banged a pie in American Pie? I realize the gossip industry is kind of based around digging up those kinds of details and making people interested in them, but I couldn't even be bothered to click the link.

But as it turns out, this isn't just some gossip item making the rounds after some rumor-- it's a story that got out there after Biggs's wife, Jenny Mollen, wrote up the entire encounter for The Smoking Jacket, a site that's affiliated with Playboy somehow. This article, title "Jenny and Her Husband Get a Whore," pulls absolutely no punches, detailing how the first prostitute they hired bailed on them when they couldn't get enough cash together, and how the second spent time "complimenting me on my blowjob skills" but took off after "He quickly became flaccid and we were left with nothing to do but stare at each other." Yeah, you're really never going to be able to watch an American Pie movie the same way.

Really, I'm all for being open about their sexual desires and practices-- the more people are willing to talk about it, the less of a stigma it carries. But maybe if Mollen's piece had been funnier, or felt like more than simply bragging about how adventurous she and her husband are, this would seem a little less lame. There's breaking down boundaries and encouraging people to be open about their sexualities, and then there's just being an exhibitionist. Even if she weren't married to the American Pie guy, this would still feel like the latter.
