Kate Middleton Is In The Hospital And Ready To Deliver

A Royal baby is coming. Duchess Catherine checked into the hospital this morning and has gone into labor. Exactly where she’s at on that front right now or how things are progressing is completely unclear at this point, but nonetheless, it’s an exciting moment for the entire Royal family, the British people and all those who have watched Kate Middleton with admiration over her poise and class the past few years.

Here is the official statement from the Royal Palace…

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labor. The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge."

I’m not normally the type that welcomes official statements, but when it comes to the Royal family, it’s usually best to get the news from there. In fact, poor Kate’s entire pregnancy has been shrouded by wild rumors and invasions of her privacy. Consequently, hearing it straight from the spokesman’s mouth is reassuring that there’s no hoax going on.

Unfortunately, the downside of carefully worded statements it that we don’t get normally get any specifics. That’s definitely the case here. We still don’t know sex. We still don’t have any idea about names. Hell, we don’t even have an estimated time of when the little one might officially be born. It could be an hour from now. It could be six hours from now. It could have already happened. It’s a big mystery.

According to E! News, when the birth does happen, a proclamation announcing the happy news will be signed by the Royal doctors. The families of both parties, as well as the major heads of state in Britain will immediately be informed. Afterwards, the proclamation will then be publically displayed in an easel in front of the palace gates for everyone to check out. Given someone inside the hospital might talk, however, it’s likely the larger world will be given news pretty quickly after the baby is born.

Pop Blend sends out its sincerest well-wishes to Kate, William and everyone else in the Royal family. We will keep you updated throughout the day as more information becomes available.
