Exciting news broke earlier this year with the reveal that Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman and wife Beth Chapman would be returning to TV with a new show, but the Chapman family had to deal with a significant tragedy over the summer with the death of Beth.

She passed away after a long and difficult battle with throat cancer, devastating her husband. The upcoming series Dog's Most Wanted will showcase both of them, but Duane Chapman revealed that he has not yet watched the show, saying this:

I have not looked at none of these shows. I looked at the first show a little bit, but at that time, I wasn’t able to handle it. So when everyone sees it Wednesday, I get to see it. First time.

Duane Chapman apparently tried to watch the series premiere of Dog's Most Wanted, but couldn't handle it and will be seeing it for the first time with everybody else when it premieres on September 4. While the series is dedicated to his mission to hunt down some of the most wanted criminals in the country, it will also follow Beth Chapman's battle with cancer. This will be the last series they were ever able to work on together, and it's easy to understand why watching the footage would be rough.

Beth Chapman died in June 2019, after she was placed into a medically induced coma due to the battle with throat cancer. Duane Chapman asked fans for prayers, and she wasn't expected to recover. Duane himself broke the news of her passing with a loving message on June 26. He later shared some touching words about his wife. There was an outpouring of sympathy for the family on social media, and A&E -- the home of Dog the Bounty Hunter for years -- aired a special tribute for Beth.

While Duane Chapman does plan on watching Dog's Most Wanted's premiere, he doesn't plan on doing it alone. He went on in his talk with People Now to say this:

I got kids, you know, so my kids are coming and my friends will be there, you know, my close friends. We’ll all watch. I’ll probably go in and out of the room a lot, but yeah, I want to see it.

Although watching his wife in Dog's Most Wanted won't be easy on Duane Chapman in the wake of her passing, he'll have a support system around him, even if he does have to leave the room while the footage is airing. Previews for the new show indicate that Duane and Beth Chapman's dynamic will be as entertaining and loving as it was on previous shows together. Though Beth was struggling with cancer, she was still Beth!

The official Dog's Most Wanted Twitter account posted a preview dedicated to Beth Chapman, and Duane Chapman retweeted it on his own account. Take a look:
