Dog The Bounty Hunter’s Hospitalization Was Not A Heart Attack, But Daughter Sends Her Love

Just a few short months after Dog The Bounty Hunter’s beloved wife Beth Chapman died following a battle with cancer, Duane “Dog” Chapman has suffered his own medical event. News recently broke that over the weekend Dog was hospitalized and under a doctor’s care, but thankfully, the event seems to not have been a heart attack.

The good news is that early reports illustrating the medical event as a heart attack seem to be overblown, at least if these new reports hold true. The still-unnamed event that landed Dog The Bounty Hunter in the hospital was likely stress related and related to his blood pressure. An source close to the situation has confirmed the hospital staff did an angiogram and the results came back as normal.

A representative for Duane Chapman confirmed that Dog was under current medical care, noting,

I can confirm Dog is under doctor's care and is resting comfortably. Thank you for all of your well wishes- keep 'em coming.

Since then, Dog The Bounty Hunter was released from the hospital. He went home on Monday night, according to TMZ, and is “resting.”

When news broke yesterday, the indication was that Dog The Bounty Hunter may have had a heart attack, so it’s reassuring that does not seem to be the case. Still, Chapman’s Daughter Bonnie Chapman did send her love to her dear old dad while he recovers in the hospital, also sharing a throwback photo of the family.

One thing that is clear about this big event is that it has been a stressful year for Duane “Dog” Chapman. The reality TV personality had to deal with the loss of his wife, Beth, earlier this year. While her death wasn’t sudden, it did take a toll on the whole family. In fact, soon after, Dog’s own kid was injured during the course of his bounty hunter duties and had to be hospitalized.

To make matters harder, he's also had to mourn in the public eye. In fact, Dog and Beth Chapman had a new reality show that was filming right around the time her cancer came back. Beth ultimately chose to show her cancer battle on the small screen, and Dog Chapman has spent the last few days having to relive those painful events as they have played out on Dog’s Most Wanted.

Duane “Dog” Chapman has said mourning Beth Chapman in public has been difficult and I don’t doubt it.

The good news is that it looks as if the popular reality star has suffered a minor medical event and not something serious. As long as Dog’s Most Wanted is on the air, I’m not sure it will be easy for Dog The Bounty Hunter’s stress levels to go down, but if anyone warrants some time away from the media circus, it would be that dude.

Here’s hoping he can get some much needed rest and be able to grieve.
