The Voice Adam Levine NBC

Adam Levine was singing a different tune than usual on a recent Jimmy Kimmel Live! episode. The Voice vet had some fun with people as he pranked them by pretending to be a parking meter cop. Getting a ticket cannot be a good feeling. What if there was a silver lining in the form of Maroon 5 concert tickets?

Would you be willing to endure that initial rush of uncomfortable adrenaline for the payoff of getting to see Maroon 5? Well, that is the issue several drivers faced after they pulled into a parking spot. Former Voice star Adam Levine handed out two kinds of tickets that elicited different reactions. At least, in some cases. Check out the clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live! below:

The first man who was “ticketed” took action by videoing the whole situation on his phone. His footage got interspersed with Jimmy Kimmel Live!’s takedown of the operation, which made for a neat perspective. While he was understandably upset by the whole thing, the Maroon 5 concert tickets clearly cheered the guy up. He even gave Adam Levine a hug!

Adam Levine did end up getting busted by one person, who recognized the singer after he cited them for pulling into a parking space too quickly. Pop culture knowledge will get you every time! In an opposite twist, the last person shown being pranked by Levine did not know who Maroon 5 is. Were the concert tickets any comfort? I am not entirely sure.

Free concert tickets to see a band you do not know can be dicey. If anyone needs further references about the band, Maroon 5 performed at the Super Bowl and got great reviews from Adam Levine’s daughters! Not getting as great of reviews was Levine’s performance on his final season of The Voice.

Despite the controversy, when Adam Levine’s team ended up getting eliminated during Season 16, fans got angry. As of now, they do not have anything to get upset about where Levine and The Voice is concerned. Levine ended up quitting the show ahead of Season 17 and shared a goodbye message with fans to make his move complete.

So, this Jimmy Kimmel Live! video marks a welcomed sight for fans of The Voice who have been missing Adam Levine as a coach. The show is currently in the midst of its first season without the original cast member. As far as tunes go, since leaving the singing competition, Levine has expressed what he does and does not miss about starring in the series.

Following his exit, rumors persisted around what exactly led to it. Regardless of the reasons are for his departure, Adam Levine missed out on a massive salary due to leaving The Voice. Without the paycheck, Levine has clearly not lost his sense of humor since leaving the NBC series.

It would be neat if Jimmy Kimmel Live! could get Blake Shelton and Adam Levine reunited for a prank. How long the former Voice co-stars could get away with one would be interesting to find out!

Keep apprised of the latest pranks happening on new episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live! when they air weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC. Adam Levine’s previous show, The Voice, is one of the series airing new episodes this winter on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
