picard tv show cbs press express

The wait for the fall TV season can be as agonizing as watching turtles walk through molasses, and yet the span between premiere week and midseason finale week sometimes feel as fast as The Boys' A-Train. Small-screen programming continues to expand sub-exponentially, though, so the hiatus void that follows the traditional deluge of winter and spring TV finales is easily filled by the debuts and returns of shows like Star Trek: Picard, Last Man Standing and Fox's 9-1-1 spinoff with Rob Lowe.

Below is a full rundown of all the new and returning TV shows hitting the schedule through the 2019-2020 Winter and Spring TV seasons. Among other things included are network series, cable favorites, Lifetime movies, host-less awards ceremonies, comedy specials and a vast array of streaming options.

Note that all brand new series will be listed in all caps, and all times below are EST, so remember to account for your own time zone accordingly. As well, please bookmark this page and keep checking back for updates as the weeks go by.

March 2020

As the winter months give way to warmer spring weather, the traditional TV season is in full gear, without a whole lot of big shows entering and exiting the schedule. Perhaps most noteworthy at this point is the return of Cosmos: Possible Worlds, whose third season was in question following accusations made against host Neil DeGrasse Tyson concerning sexual misconduct. Investigations into the matter were concluded in early 2019, and both Cosmos and Tyson's StarTalk were announced to be moving forward with new seasons.

Monday, March 9
Cosmos: Possible Worlds Season 3 - Nat Geo - 9 p.m.
Roswell, New Mexico Season 2 - The CW - 9 p.m.
