Steve Wozniak Janet Hill Wozniak Celebrity Watch Party Fox

Warning! The following contains spoilers for Celebrity Watch Party Episode 2. Read at your own risk!

Fox's latest television television phenomenon, Celebrity Watch Party, just finished its second week, and slowly but surely, audiences are warming up to the idea. Granted, there are still a good number of people who are now questioning every decision they've made in life as they watch celebrities react to a television show, rather than watching that show for themselves, but there's no denying it has a certain appeal. In fact, this week's episode had a surprisingly open and honest moment after Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak watched Dirty Dancing with his wife.

The Woz was seen wiping his eyes in a couple of the quick shots shown of him and wife Janet Hill as they watched the movie. The tears really started rolling during the film's most famous scene, and as Celebrity Watch Party's credits ran, Wozniak revealed why watching the movie got him so emotional.

I’m recovering after that one. I grew up more of a geek and I didn’t have, you know, any love. I think it was like my third year of college when I got my first kiss. I was sort of slow on that. It always meant a lot to me because I didn’t have a lot of it.

It was a surprisingly heartwarming moment, considering that, only minutes before, Master P was asking his son Romeo if he could imagine him and "Angeline Jolene" dancing like Baby and Johnny. Steve Wozniak was comforted by his wife, and the two shared a tender moment as he assured her and the camera he has all the love he needs now.

Steve Wozniak's surprisingly honest commentary is yet another magical upside of Celebrity Watch Party which I did not see coming. Last week, Ozzy Osbourne showed us that there are some laughs to be had in these celebrity interactions, and this week, Wozniak made me feel feelings. Pretty soon, people will be quoting deep statements made by Jojo Siwa about Tiger King if this trend continues, and I'm totally on board with it.

In hindsight, perhaps it shouldn't be so surprising to see Steve Wozniak react so emotionally to Dirty Dancing. He clearly has a passion for dancing, judging from his participation on Dancing With The Stars over a decade ago, and while his moves at the time weren't quite on par with Patrick Swayze in the iconic movie, he still did a pretty damn good job while he lasted.

I'm all for the comedic commentary and riffing on popular shows, but if Celebrity Watch Party gives more wholesome moments like the one with Steve Wozniak, that's OK too. This show has certainly been a pleasant surprise in Hollywood's rush to release content as stay-at-home orders remain in place, and I'm hoping it can maintain its quality as the weeks go on.
