90 Day Fiance's Jihoon Lee Confirms Relationship Status With Deavan Clegg

Jihoon Lee 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way TLC

Warning! the following contains spoilers for 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 2. Read at your own risk!

There has been heavy drama both on and off 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way for Jihoon Lee and Deavan Clegg as of late. As the couple struggles to adapt to life in South Korea on screen, rumors have swirled about the current status of the pair's relationship in the present.

Well now, the rumors can be laid to rest. Jihoon went live on Instagram recently and told fans exactly what's going on between him and Deavan:

So I can’t tell everything because the show [is] not finished. They will be happy and I need to be happy. Just, I will live my own life. If you lost [a] lover, boy [or] girl. So sad, but you can start again. We are living our own life, that’s our future. So just keep watching. Just keep [supporting] [me] getting [a] better life and please pray for Deavan and Taeyang, [for] their family life.

From the sounds of that statement (via InTouch Weekly), it sounds like Jihoon Lee and Deavan Clegg have decided to go their separate ways. The couple's split has been heavily rumored for some time but was shot down by Deavan's mother Elicia in late-July. The update from Jihoon comes days after Deavan took to social media (in America) to defend a recent portrayal of her in an episode and was spotted not wearing her wedding ring.

Before that, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans saw Jihoon Lee scrub his page of all of his pictures and unfollow Deavan Clegg. Things did not seem to be doing well between them, but Jihoon claims the two have worked out some form of a custody agreement for their shared child:

[Deavan] said every summertime, she [will] go back to Korea with Taeyang. She promised, So we can see Taeyang.

As previously mentioned, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way contract agreements have likely kept Jihoon Lee and Deavan Clegg from divulging the details of what's going on. It's possible we will see the split before Season 2 comes to an end, though it's hard to say with certainty given the filming for the season seemed to partially overlap with COVID-19 lockdowns.

It's not necessarily a happy ending for the couple, but it's fair to say if things weren't going to improve in Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee's relationship from what we saw, it's perhaps for the best. Both can now only focus on what comes next and, hopefully, they can find a way to co-parent that's fair and accommodates both parties.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs on TLC Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for updates on the franchise, and for more news happening in television and movies.
