What 90 Day Fiance's Amira Went Through During Mexico Detainment
Warning! The following contains spoilers for the 90 Day Fiancé episode "You So Bad Boy." Read at your own risk!
90 Day Fiancé has proven it can still find ways to film during COVID-19, and in doing so, has given viewers some unique storylines and situations they haven't seen before. The latest headline-worthy situation comes via Andrew Kenton and Amira Lollysa, who planned to enter the United States via a loophole vacation in Mexico but were stopped by authorities. Amira was locked away, and as one would expect, it wasn't exactly a great experience.
The latest episode caught up with Amira after her detainment, and after she was put on a flight back to Europe by Mexican authorities. Once she arrived back in Europe, the 90 Day Fiancé star gave an interview from her hotel in Amsterdam and shared what she experienced during her time in a detention center, as well as how she felt afterward.
Amira Lollysa mentioned she'd contacted Andrew Kenton after her release to let him know that she was on a plane back to Europe. Amira said that once Andrew confirmed she was safe and on her way back across the globe, she did not hear from him again. He did not check on her when her plane landed in Amsterdam, nor when she arrived at the hotel. Though she had no confirmation, Amira suspected Andrew would hold it against her that she couldn't leave detainment to see him.
In another interview that seemed to occur after the first one, Amira Lollysa still had strong feelings about the experience. While the 90 Day Fiancé star was fully composed in the first part of her segment, she quickly broke down crying after talking about the incident once more.
With Amira back in Europe and likely unwilling to risk entry into the U.S. again during COVID-19, it seems her K1 visa will expire. We don't know for sure where the relationship will end up, though Andrew Kenton has appeared to be upset in recent social media posts over Amira claiming he more or less forced her to travel to Mexico, which indicates the two may no longer be together. Andrew shared texts from his phone that made it appear that it was Amira's idea to travel to Mexico, but that's only his part of the story, of course.
90 Day Fiancé airs on TLC Sundays at 8:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for more on the franchise and the latest news in television and movies.
