The Masked Singer Season 5 went from six contestants down to five in the latest episode, and while the unmasking of another contestant was a notable part of the evening, it won't be the only thing fans may be buzzing about. Viewers may have noticed Nick Cannon seemingly got a little uncomfortable when guest panelist Chrissy Metz mentioned Christina Milian as the potential identity of The Black Swan and tried to move things along as quickly as possible.

Ken Jeong didn't let that happen though, and his hearty laughing at the moment only called more attention to the subject and piqued Chrissy Metz's curiosity. Nick Cannon seemingly didn't want to get into all his personal drama on the show. Some The Masked Singer viewers likely picked up on the fact Cannon and Milian used to date long before he was even married and divorced from Mariah Carey, but what they may not have known is why Cannon might not want to linger on her on The Masked Singer. Buckle up for a story, because this one is only slightly wilder than RoboPine's identity being revealed as actor Tyrese Gibson.

While Christina Milian's music after the two broke up featured claims of infidelity, fans didn't get the full story of how Nick Cannon allegedly cheated on the singer until 2019 when she dropped details in an interview. Speaking with E!'s Just The Sip, Milian stated that she discovered Cannon cheated on her after she hacked his phone while on a trip in Romania. Meanwhile, Cannon was back in America, living in her house.

When I was dating Nick Cannon, the password somehow worked on the first check, and I was right and the next thing you know, I was reading for like a month. I was reading messages. I was stuck in Romania. I had time... I’m going to get my intel, make sure that this is for real for real and it was for real, so it was enough... So I wanted to be able to see him in person, go over it — not like it would change anything — but part of me was like he was kind of like my first love at the time. It was unreal that it was happening. He was living at my house. Wait, under my roof, this is happening? It just kind of blew me away.

Christina Milian's statements were a bit of juicy gossip for fans, but ultimately, the past was the past. Milian went on to say she felt that Nick Cannon had changed over time and wasn't that type of person anymore.

No one presumably really likes to be called a cheater, even decades after the fact, so Nick Cannon had to respond to the claim. When asked about the situation by Power 106 later in 2019, Cannon said he felt he did nothing wrong because he didn't think he was in a relationship with Christina Milian at the time.

I don't think I did anything wrong. I wasn't cheating, you got to be in a relationship to cheat. We not going to get into the details but I would say the way I believe if, she went through my phone and all that, and back then is what I told her and I will tell her now, but if you go looking for something you gon' find something... And I'm going to tell you this, if a man, I'll speak for myself, if I am careless enough to allow myself to get caught then that means I wanted to get caught. The word is careless, you know what careless means... I could care less. I was at an age where I didn't care.

It was a fiery response from Nick Cannon and one that got him a bit of flak from those around the web. I'm assuming Nick Cannon wanted to get out of the Christina Milian talk as quickly as possible on The Masked Singer to prevent that drama from being brought back up, but unfortunately, nothing is ever gone for good on the internet.

The Masked Singer Season 5 airs on Fox Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET. CinemaBlend will continue to cover the season until the grand finale, and hopefully crack the code on Cluedle-Doo before the rest of the internet does.
