Paper Magazine, in its long tradition of breaking the internet through god-tier imagery, undertook the photoshoot of Amelia Gray moonlighting as her mom Lisa Rinna. In the photos, Gray channels her mom’s 1990s red carpet looks and even wears her Vera Wang wedding gown. On her Instagram, Gray called the experience “a dream come true.” Check out some of the pics here:
I guess the old adage is true, you’re always the spitting image of one of your parents. And these photos are giving serious Lisa Rinna (not Harry Hamlin) vibes, all the way down to the red and cheetah print seen in the second photo in the thread. In her joint interview with her mom for Paper Magazine, Amelia Gray said the inspiration for the photo shoot was for a Mother’s Day present, but it quickly took on a life of its own. Gray said,
Ever since I was a little girl and walking down that hallway with the Vera sketches, I knew that I'm going to get a dress from Vera or I'm going to wear your dress. That was my dream: to either get a new Vera or to wear yours. Putting it on was the most it was the most surreal feeling. And by the way, I put it on in your bathroom and had a moment to myself. I literally almost started to tear up because I was also wearing your veil.
Fans have seen Amelia Gray only a handful of times throughout the years on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. But in those appearances, she remarkably used the platform to bring awareness to the kind of eating disorders and anxiety she’s suffered from in the past. Now, it seems she’s slowly building her credibility in the modeling world – with a little help from the iconic Lisa Rinna look. As for what Rinna thinks about the photo shoot? She reflected,
I don't think it's completely hit me. She just gave me the pictures on Mother's Day and yet I keep looking at them. When your daughter's 19 and is recreating your looks, I try to think what my mom would feel like if I wore her looks and recreated her looks. And I think it can take a minute to process it. It's like, 'Holy shit, how fabulous is this?'
But the physical resemblance between Amelia Gray and Lisa Rinna isn’t the only thing they share. Rinna is also known on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for being caught up in all kinds of drama, and Gray, probably unintentionally, is starting to do the same. Rumors have been circulating (as they tend to do) about her alleged relationship with 37-year-old Scott Disick of Keeping Up With the Kardashians fame. In the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Season 11 trailer, the ladies can even be heard discussing it, with Kyle Richards saying, “He’s too damn old.”
Lisa Rinna’s thoughts on her daughter dating Scott Disick aren’t exactly clear – yet. She’s come across somewhat laissez-faire in terms of parenting in the past, but Rinna is never afraid to give her god's honest opinion. The new season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres tonight on Bravo at 8 p.m.!
