On the last season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, former star Brandi Glanville made a few re-appearances and certainly made a big splash. She claimed that she and Denise Richards had sex before. It eventually got back to Richards, who adamantly denied the hookup and tried to stop production from filming the bombshell allegations on-camera. Richards ultimately left the show for good after the drama, but Glanville has no regrets about what happened.
In fact, the notoriously blunt ex-Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star thinks it got blown way out of proportion. Brandi Glanville said to ET Online about the Denise Richards hookup scandal:
It felt freeing, when I said it. I'm like, OK, now people can think whatever they want of me, but I don't have to keep the secret anymore, and it was nice. I want to have a conversation with her. I do. I've reached out through her agent. I've reached out to her. I'm sure I'm blocked in her phone. But, who cares if two chicks hook up? I just don't think it's that big of a deal.
Initially, clapback queen Brandi Glanville described on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that she only felt compelled to come forward about her alleged hookup with Denise Richards after she felt that she was complicit in cheating without her knowledge. She thought that Richards’ new husband, Aaron Phypers, was fine with Richards hooking up with girls but supposedly found out later that was not true. The alleged secrecy was a sore point for Glanville, whose ex-husband Eddie Cibrian cheated on her with Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay.
Nevertheless, Brandi Glanville was accused of lying about the hook up not only by Denise Richards but some of the other Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies as well. The mistrust was not entirely unwarranted, given that Glanville has admitted to embellishing in the past. But even now that Season 10 has ended and Glanville has not been invited back or Season 11, she is still adamant about the allegations and questions why she would continue to lie about it. She continued:
Why would it be fake? If it was after, I would just say it. I don't owe anyone anything. … And by the way, she's known for being a sexpot. She's talked about it on Howard Stern. Yeah, she's kissed girls. I don't think it's that big of a deal. I actually think that people would have been like, ‘She's awesome. She's rad…’ for just saying, ‘Yeah, that's me.’ She just talked about happy endings and hookers, why not just say, ‘Yeah, we had a night?’
To Brandi Glanville, the alleged hookup was no big deal, but the scandalous reveal of it seemed like a very huge deal to The Bold and the Beautiful star, who has three daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. Richards was on the Real Housewives for two seasons and did seem to want to backpedal her more risqué anecdotes in the last one. Still, it can’t be denied that Glanville does end up saying other things she regrets. Her last controversial Twitter thoughts, in which she said Armie Hammer could break her rib and barbeque it, prompted a backlash by fans who were taking those allegations pretty seriously as well.
But Brandi Glanville is apparently done withReal Housewives for good, though, and won’t be shaking things up anymore. Judging from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 11 trailer, however, it looks like they won’t need her help in that regard.
