MTV Helps Hilton Find A New BFF

For some reason, people can’t seem to get enough of Paris Hilton. Or maybe it’s that they can’t get enough reality TV. Probably both. Anyway, MTV has picked up on this because they’ve greenlit a reality series that stars the celebutante. Unlike Hilton’s series, The Simple Life in which she was filmed doing things normal people do (like having a job and doing housework), this series will chronicle her search for a new best friend.

The 10-episode series, which is currently titled Paris Hilton’s My New BFF will follow 20 potential best friends as they compete against each other in tests of loyalty, endurance and “girl politics.” The winner gets to be Hilton’s BFF – which is of course, Best Friend Forever (for those of you out of the chat-speak know). I’m guessing it’ll be more like BFFN (best friend for now) anyway. The series should begin airing sometime towards the end of 2008.

Meanwhile, if you want a shot at being a contestant on this show, you can set up a profile on ParisBFF.com. Then if people think you’re special enough they’ll vote for you. For more information on the audition process, click here.
