Michael Buble: Home For The Holidays Special To Include Blake Shelton And Carly Rae Jepsen

It seems a little early to be talking about Christmas, but since the holiday is less than two months away, it makes sense that the networks would be lining up their holiday specials. In the case of NBC, that includes the return of Michael Buble: Home for the Holidays. The special aired last year and NBC is set to do another one this year with a new set of musical performers.

NBC announced this week that Michael Buble is returning for another holiday Christmas special, which will air Monday, December 10 at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBC. The hour-long special will feature Buble and a number of guest stars, including Rod Stewart, Blake Shelton, Carly Rae Jepsen and Elmo. Songs set to be featured this year include "Jingle Bell Rock," "Let it Snow," "All I Want for Christmas is You," and "Winter Wonderland." Michael Buble will perform a special duet of "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby. Considering the beloved crooner passed away in 1977, we may consider this segment a Christmas miracle… or more likely, the product of some fancy editing. Either way, it should be great to hear their voices together.

Between Buble's built-in appeal and the musical guests, which seem to reach a broad audience, between country star Blake Shelton, pop star Carly Rae Jepsen, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Rod Stewart and of course, Sesame Street's Elmo, it sounds like this special has a little something for everyone… except people who either don't like or celebrate Christmas and those who don't like music.

In addition to starring in last year's special, Michael Buble's more recent appearance on NBC had him dropping by The Voice to mentor some of the singing contestants. And as it happens, he was working with Shelton's team. Now it looks like Shelton's returning the favor by appearing on Buble's special.
