Rihanna Will Star In Styled To Rock Remake On Style

Style has decided to get into the game fashion-based reality competition game with Styled to Rock, a reality series based on the British series of the same name, that will follow fashion designers as they produce items for A-List celebrities. To add a little more A-List to the mix, Styled to Rock has signed on none other than pop singer Rihanna to star in and produce the reality series.

It’s hard to get a fashioned-based reality competition series off the ground, but it should help that Rihanna is involved with the project and will be executive producing, alongside Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment, as well as Shed Media U.S. The series is already well on its way to the network. According to Deadline, Styled to Rock has been picked up for 10 episodes in 2013. Unlike most reality competition series, episodes of Style’s new show will only run for a half hour.

So, where does Rihanna fit in? Just like she did in the British show of the same name, Rihanna will choose twelve contestants to move forward in the competition. Furthermore, she will match up contestants with mentors. Each week, after designers create a piece for a celebrity, one designer will be chosen as the winner, and one designer will be sent home. Eventually, the designers will be narrowed down, and one will be declared the winner. I really like the fact that menswear and womenswear will be introduced, and I can’t wait to see what oddball costumes the contestants will be creating for celebrities.
