I don't even want to think about it.

Boy Meets World is celebrating 26 years since its series finale this May, but March saw a pretty big celebration for a different reason. Beloved actor William Daniels, who played Mr. Feeney on the TGIF sitcom, turned 99 on Tuesday. While the Boy Meets World cast member is looking and sounding as good as ever, Daniels had a pretty morbid take ahead of turning a century old.
Daniels, who appeared on Dancing With the Stars last year alongside former co-star Danielle Fishel for a special dance, reflected on his life while speaking with People. He admitted how he’s feeling about turning 99, and was asked about turning 100 in 2027, but he’s not exactly looking forward to the big milestone:
I certainly don't feel 99 years old, that's for sure. . . . Oh, I don't want to be a hundred. Who wants to be a hundred?
Considering he is almost 100, it’s nice to see that Daniels still has a good sense of humor about his age, even if it is a bit morbid. Obviously, when the time does come, hopefully it never does, it is going to be one of the most heartbreaking things ever, so I can’t even imagine joking about it myself. But him being such a good sport about it does make up for it.
Article continues belowEven though he doesn’t want to turn 100, Williams definitely seems to be in a good place with everything. He’s also not slowing down when it comes to work and working out with a personal trainer. While Williams just appeared at his final out-of-town convention with wife, Bonnie Bartlett, that isn’t stopping him from still connecting with fans and attending conventions much closer to home:
I do hundreds of cameos every year, and that feels good. It allows me to perform, which demands a certain amount of energy and focus. I think that's good for me. I like being productive.
Seeing how well Daniels is doing, especially at his age, makes me so happy. He’s still in a good mood, even though he’s pushing 100, and that’s all that anyone can really ask. It probably also helps that he’s been staying productive as much as he can, and his age hasn’t stopped him from partaking in some fun Boy Meets World reunions, whether at conventions or on Dancing With the Stars. If anyone out there seems ripe to live forever, Daniels would be in line for that honor. But being 99 in this day and age is definitely a gift that no one is going to take advantage of, especially since he and Bartlett, 96, are still going strong with their 75-year marriage.
Meanwhile, if fans can’t catch William Daniels at a convention or get his Cameo, they can always catch him on Boy Meets World. All seven seasons of the fan-favorite sitcom are streaming with a Disney+ subscription, along with all three seasons of the spinoff, Girl Meets World, on which Daniels reprised his role as Mr. Feeny on several occasions. And now knowing that Daniels is 99, it’s making me want to rewatch the show and not think about how morbid things could turn for him in the near future.
