If you’re getting tired of Sherlock Holmes rumors, then we have good news for you. The rumors are just about over with. After all the talk and speculation, it looks like Jude Law will be the guy to play Dr. Watson, in Guy Ritchie’s Holmes adaptation.
Variety says he’s in negotiations to take the part, which usually means they just have to agree on how much he’s going to make. That should be easy, Jude Law isn’t the hot commodity he once was, and starring in a movie with Robert Downey Jr. as Holmes and (potentially) Russell Crowe as Moriarty can only be a good thing for Gigolo Joe. Besides, if you’re going to make a Sherlock Holmes movie you need at least one obligatory Brit. Looks like Law is it.
