Star Wars Deleted Scenes Trailer: See More With Han Solo, Maz, And Kylo Ren

Warning: mild spoilers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens below

Is there such a thing as too much Star Wars? Of course not, don’t be ridiculous. Star Wars: The Force Awakens hit theaters last year and reminded all of us why we adore the franchise from a galaxy far, far away. Although there’s still quite a bit of time left before the next installment in the series hits theaters, we will luckily be able to enjoy The Force Awakens from the comfort of our own homes very soon. A new trailer for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens' deleted scenes has just hit the web, and it has us incredibly excited to see the movie all over again. Check it out below to see for yourself.

As you can see from the video above, the digital and Blu-Ray home release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens will feature numerous deleted scenes that shed new light onto the film. Starting with Kylo Ren entering the Millennium Falcon, the brief teaser also shows Han Solo, Maz Kanata, Finn, and Chewie escaping from Maz’ cantina following the arrival of The First Order. While the theatrical cut showed them merely exiting the building, apparently J.J. Abrams had yet another action sequence planned for the beloved characters.

One of the most notable moments from the deleted scenes comes during Kylo Ren’s walk through the Falcon. Knowing what we know about his relationship with Han Solo, it makes his stroll down through the hallways and into the cockpit even more tragic. Chances are he had numerous childhood memories in that ship that we as an audience never even got to see.

It really goes without saying that we are so excited for the home release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Between the deleted scenes, and the numerous other special features that will undoubtedly be included, we have a feeling that there’s quite a bit of Star Wars content coming to hold us over for several weeks. This is fortunate too, because the wait for Star Wars: Rogue One could politely be described as god-awful and nail-biting.

We will keep you posted regarding any and all Star Wars updates as they become available to us. Star Wars: The Force Awakens will premiere in Digital HD format on April 1, and Blu-Ray on April 5. Star Wars: Rogue One will hit theaters on December 16, 2016, and Star Wars: Episode VIII will hit theaters on December 15, 2017. Stay tuned for more details!
