Much in the same way that Depp keeps going back and forth between working with Tim Burton and Gore Verbinski, Ryan Gosling is quickly finding himself torn between two awesome directors. While the actor is already set to reunite with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn on both Only God Forgives and the remake of Logan's Run, Gosling is also teaming up again with Blue Valentine filmmaker Derek Cianfrance for The Place Beyond The Pines, and now the first photos from that set have arrived online.

The photos arriving courtesy of JustJared, Cianfrance has said in interviews that the film would be his movie about "motorcycles and guns," and from the look of these pictures he was telling the truth. Riding on a bike, sporting bleach-blond hair and sporting what appear to be multiple prison tattoos, Gosling looks like a guy you really don't want to screw with (sure, there are no guns in the pictures, but this is certainly a guy that knows how to handle one). In the film Gosling plays a motorcycle racer who begins robbing banks and goes head-to-head with a cop, played by Bradley Cooper. The cast also includes Ray Liotta, Eva Mendes and Greta Gerwig.
