Director Wes Craven has responded to our story from Monday here in which a scooper informed us that he would direct Scream 4. And he confirms it, sort of, but not really.
Here’s what Craven had to say on Twitter: “In response to the rumors about me directing SCREAM 4, a deal has not yet been set, so stay tuned for accurate information.” You can read that a lot of different ways but what I get from is it that he does indeed intend to direct the film, and that he’s in negotiations to get it done but hasn’t signed on the dotted line yet. Still, it’s open to interpretation. Presumably he’ll let us know when it is a done deal. Stick around and we’ll keep you informed.
