The Oscar nominations are in, and for some of us, itís time to play catch-up and try to see some of those nominated films we havenít gotten around to seeing. Fortunately, when it comes to the picks for Best Original Song, a trip to the theater isnít required. Listen to all five nominees for Best Original Song right here.

From faith to freedom, to happiness and love ó both ordinary and less ordinary ó thereís quite a bit of tonal diversity among the songs that made this yearís Oscar nominations list. Will U2 snag another award for their Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom song? Or will one of the other nominees manage to freeze it out. We have time to ponder that question between now and March 2 when the 86th Annual Academy Awards take place. In the meantime, here are the five nominated songs for the 2014 Oscars:

"Alone Yet Not Alone" from Alone Yet Not Alone
Music by Bruce Broughton; Lyric by Dennis Spiegel
Alone Yet Not Alone is set in 1748 and centers on a family bound for America in an effort to escape religious persecution in Germany. As youíll hear in the lyrics of the song, "Alone Yet Not Alone" is a message of faith as the singer acknowledges never being truly alone with the presence of God in their life.
When when my steps are lost
And desperate for a guide
I can feel His touch
A soothing presence by my side.

Alone, yet not alone
Not forsaken when on my own
I can lean upon His arm
and be lifted up from harm
If I stumble or if Iím thrown
Iím alone yet not alone
