DC Entertainment Has A Major Event Planned For Fans, Get The Details

Justice League DC

Few segments of the population have become quite as vocal and opinionated as comic book fans, and we mean that in the most flattering way possible. Marvel and DC aficionados have ravenous appetites for anything and everything related to their respective universes, and these entertainment giants have most certainly taken notice. If you consider yourself a DC fan in any capacity, then you might want to call in sick to work on September 2. DC Entertainment has something in store for you, and it's big.

A new report from THR indicates that DC Entertainment has a major event planned for fans all around the world. It appears that on September 2, the comic book giant will host an 8-hour DC All Access event on its YouTube channel to bring fans all of the latest and greatest DC news in a one sitting. The live stream event comes after the company received its one millionth YouTube subscriber, and it seems like a distinct show of gratitude to the fans that continuously tune in for the DC All Access streams on a consistent basis.

With such an insane deluge of DC-centric content coming, we can likely expect to learn quite a bit about the latest films on the DCEU slate. The event will feature several interviews and segments focusing on the most highly anticipated aspects of the DC universe, so we assume that we will gain a bit of insight into Justice League, as well as Wonder Woman at the very least. Maybe, if we're lucky, we will even get new trailers, but that remains unclear. Of course, there exist so many other details that could possibly come out of this event. We may finally get a Shazam casting announcement, or perhaps more details on The Flash, Cyborg, and Green Lantern Corps movies. We will have to wait patiently and see.

It's hard to shake the sense that DC really wants to increase transparency with fans after some notable missteps. Up until recently the company's comings and goings were kept fairly tightly under wraps, but following the lackluster response to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice we began to see them lift the veil considerably. This started with the willingness to fly journalists out to the Justice League set in London, and continued through an awesome display of projects at San Diego Comic-Con last month. DC realizes that fans want to be kept in the loop, and this DC All Access event represents the next step in that process.

CinemaBlend will bring you any and all information related to the upcoming DC All Access event (and anything else related to the world of Detective Comics) as more information becomes available to us. The live stream event will commence on September 2 at 9 a.m. PST. Stay tuned for more details!
