The divorce proceedings between Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian have already taken more than a year, and over the past few months, the reality star has made it very clear she would like for her marriage to officially be over by the time she gives birth to new boyfriend Kanye Westís child later this year. Given the timeline, the request certainly sounds reasonable enough, but in an attempt to be a colossal douche bag, Humphries has decided to do everything in his power to prevent that from happening.

According to TMZ, the NBA reserveís attorney, Marshall Waller, submitted paperwork to the court today asking for the judge to delay the upcoming proceedings until the summer in order to allow Humphries to be there for Kimís deposition in May or June. Given all the delays that have already been granted, itís highly unlikely the judge will push things off until the summer, but you never know for sure until rulings actually come in.

Whenever asked, Humphries and his attorneys continually state theyíre just trying to take their time in order to do things right, but itís widely assumed theyíre actually either trying to force Kim to settle or find legal ground in order to invalidate the prenuptial agreement, opening the door for a lawsuit.

Hereís to hoping these two are officially divorced by the time Kimís child heads off to Kindergarten.
