Seal Clarifies: Heidi Didn't Cheat On Me While We Were Together

Well, that didn’t last long. Just days after accusing his wife, Heidi Klum, of having sex with her bodyguard prior to their separation, Seal frantically backtracked through his representative, releasing a new statement meant to clarify his original comment. Apparently, Heidi didn’t cheat on Seal. She only moved on quicker than he would have liked.

The mess started over the weekend when a cameraman from TMZ asked the singer about rumors his estranged wife was getting close to her bodyguard. He responded by saying he wished she’d shown more class and waited until they were separated before “fornicating with the help”. Of course, the video spread like wildfire, and the model’s representative promptly released a statement denying any hanky panky went down.

Without further comment, the situation likely would have devolved into a swarm of rumors. Luckily, that’s not going to happen. Here’s what Seal's PR person told US Magazine this morning…

”Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating while they were together, but he was merely pointing out that their separation and divorce were not final and they are still legally married."

As quick backtracks go, this one seems to hold a bit of water. It’s believable that Seal could have meant officially divorced when he said separated; however, even if he did, that doesn’t excuse the fact that he badmouthed the mother of his children on camera. Sometimes the classy thing to do is to simply say no comment, even if there’s a lot of angry thoughts swirling around.

Here’s to hoping these two can play nice for the sake of their children.
