Dead Parrots, Singing Lumberjacks, And Black Knights Come To iTunes

Like it or hate it, you can’t ignore the influence Monty Python has had on our culture. It astonishes me how incredibly powerful the comedy troupe’s creations are, continuing to bring laughter and silly walks to generation after generation. Now they’re making sure they’ll be heard by contemporary audiences as their classic offerings are coming to iTunes.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python’s Life of Brian, Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life, Monty Python: Live at the Hollywood Bowl, and Monty Python’s Flying Circus are all available for purchase on iTunes. Prices are the normal charges for iTunes: episodes of Flying Circus can be had for $1.99 while the movies can be rented for $2.99 or purchased for $9.99.

To celebrate the new Python revolution and show just how influential their work has been, iTunes is offering a short documentary titled, “Why I Love Monty Python,” which shows current comedy geniuses like Judd Apatow, Paul Rudd, Trey Parker, and Matt Stone, discussing their own love of lumberjacks and dead parrots. Even better - the documentary is available for free! Just click on the link below to launch iTunes and go to the five-minute short for your computer or iPod.
