Borderlands 2 DLC Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt Outed By Trophies

The third Borderlands 2 DLC will be called "Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt." The DLC's title, along with a few other details, were revealed by new Trophies for the PS3 version.

Sir Hammerlock is a dapper, cybernetic hunter encountered early on in the Borderlands 2 campaign. He also appeared in the recent Mr. Torgue downloadable content. Judging by the title of the new DLC, Hammerlock will be taking players on safari.

The DLC introduces a new region called Hammerlock's Hunt. You'll earn a Silver Trophy on the PS3 version by exploring all the locations there. The game will award you a Bronze Trophy for completing a mission called "The Fall of Nakayama," presumably the last in a string of story-related quests. The Silver Trophy, meanwhile, can be achieved by completing all the side missions in this region.

We shouldn't have to wait long for Gearbox to say more about "Big Game Hunt." They announced the first details on the "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty" DLC a day after its existence was revealed by Trophies. The new content was then released the following week. Perhaps "Game Hunt" will be out by the holidays?

Gearbox Software will release four story-based DLC packs in total. They've also teased other DLC plans, including a new character class.
