Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 More Or Less Confirmed, Reveal Incoming

Following a plethora of speculation regarding an incoming unveil for the next Call of Duty game -- heavily believed to be Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 -- Activision has confirmed a reveal for their next installment in the series is imminent.

The company's official Call of Duty site has confirmed the next CoD will be receive its "World Reveal" on May 1st, which is accompanied by a countdown timer. It'll be showcased during the basketball playoffs on TNT.

On the teaser page, Activision's implemented 14 smaller windows, which are all blacked out via the word "Classified". They'll be unveiled over the course of the next few days. One such teaser is protecting an image, while a character in the background of the page can also be viewed below.

So, how certain is it that May 1st will unveil a Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 reveal? If the site's source code is anything to go by, a sequel to the shooter is more or less confirmed due to the notable absence of "Modern Warfare".

Call of Duty: Black Ops is currently the most successful installment in the Call of Duty franchise with Treyarch's shooter selling more than 25 million copies on consoles. It's also the best-selling game of all time within the United States.
