League Of Legends Free Bundle Announced

Riot Games is keeping their community satisfied with all sorts of free stuff. Their latest gift to their community following up on the Warsongs soundtrack is a free bundle pack that includes eight free Champions and some XP boosts when users sign up for League of Legends through Amazon or link an existing account to Amazon.

Blues took note of the news over on the League of Legends website where they detailed what's available in the free bundle pack. You can check out the list of goodies that you receive if you sign-up to play League of Legends through the aforementioned options.

• Ashe

• Annie

• Warwick

• Garen

• Ryze

• Nunu

• Master Yi

• Sivir

• 10 Win XP Boost

• 4 Win IP Boost

You have to work fast, though, because Riot Games won't be keeping this bundle available forever. You'll only be eligible for getting the bundle between January 22 and February 5 for the North American servers only.

It's an interesting date to end the free bundle because February 5 is when XCOM 2 launches and a lot of PC gamers who love strategy games (which crosses over directly into the MOBA genre) will likely be putting in some serious time with Firaxis' title. That's not to mention that the game will launch with full mod support and some special mods from Long War Studios, the same minds behind the original XCOM mod The Long War. It's a nice measure from Riot to bring in some new fans while they face some stiff competition in February from 2K Games.

If you're new to League of Legends then the starter pack is a great way to kick off your adventures in the very competitive and very popular MOBA title. The game allows players to purchase Champions, so getting eight right off the bat will likely entice them to stick with the game a bit to either earn new champions or see what else the game has to offer during the free rotations.

For existing players, the starter pack obviously isn't that big of a deal. However, the inclusion of the two booster packs included in the starter pack will likely lure a few vets to taking advantage of the deal. I mean, let's face it... they're free boosts; there's nothing to lose.

League of Legends has tens of millions of players each month, and from their last recordings from two years ago, they boasted close to 8 million players logging in each day. They haven't updated the numbers recently, especially after Heroes of the Storm and Dota 2 started picking up major steam, but I'm sure Riot isn't hurting for cash. Recent numbers relating to player data is a bit sketchy and there's a lot of number fudging going around in the core communities, making it difficult to find out exactly where League of Legends stands at the moment.

Even still, if you only care about getting your hands on free bundle packs and free XP boosts, you can do so right now by heading on over to the official League of Legends website and getting any further details about the free bundle pack that will be available up until February 5.
