League Of Legends: Jinx The Loose Cannon Announced

League of Legends players will soon have another Champion to control in battle. Riot Games is about to release Jinx the Loose Cannon, "a marksman primed to leave your foes marked for demolition."

"Jinx lives to wreak havoc without a thought for consequence, leaving a trail of mayhem and panic in her wake," Riot says in their announcement. "A manic and impulsive criminal, she despises nothing more than boredom, and gleefully unleashes her own volatile brand of pandemonium to the one place she finds dullest: Piltover. With an arsenal of deadly toys, she unleashes the brightest explosions and loudest blasts - all the better to shock and surprise the hapless authorities. Always just out of the law's reach, Jinx's favorite game is to toy with Piltover's finest - especially Vi."

Jinx kinda reminds me of Tank Girl. She's a punk rock girl armed to the teeth with military hardware. She swaps between two weapons in battle. Pow-Pow, her mini-gun, grants a attack speed bonus that stacks up to three times. This bonus only persists until she stops attacking, though. Her rocket launcher "Fishbones" offers powerful splash damage and increased range. However, it consumes mana so Jinx has to use it

Like other ranged Champions such as Lissandra, Jinx needs to be able to keep distance between herself and melee Champions. Her passive ability, Get Excited, helps on that front. Whenever an enemy or tower that she attacked recently has been defeated, Jinx gets a temporary speed boost that decays over time.

Her other abilities also keep her enemies far away. She can use Zap! to damage and slow an enemy. Flame Chompers is a string of grenades that detonate after a few seconds. If an enemy steps on a grenade before detonation, they'll be rooted in place.

Jinx's ultimate is called the Super Mega Death Rocket. The rocket's damage increases the farther it travels. When it hits an opposing Champion, it explodes and causes damage to all nearby enemies. This damage is based on a percentage of each enemy's missing health.

You can see Jinx in action in the two preview videos below. The first shows her classic skin. The other showcases her Mafia skin, which makes her look like a Flapper.
