Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter's Dominic Cooper In Talks To Join Dead Man Down

The cast of Dead Man Down is shaping to be an intriguing one, not to mention good looking in a dark and brooding sort of way. In talks to join Colin Farrell and star of the original adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Noomi Rapace is Dominic Cooper, whose upcoming credits include starring alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Alan Tudyk in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Variety reports that Cooper is joining Farrell and Rapace in Dead Man Down. The action-thriller, which is described as “a portrait of two people caught in the crosshairs of revenge,” is set to be directed by Niels Arden Oplev, who worked with Rapace before, having directed the 2009 Girl with the DragonTattoo. The film will have Farrell playing a man looking to infiltrate a crime syndicate that had something to do with the death of his family. Rapace’s character is described as a scarred beauty, and she has “intimate knowledge of his past.

Per Variety, Cooper is in talks to play Darcy, the “partner on the street” to Farrell’s character. He’s also described as a family man.

We’ll get to see Cooper in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter this June. In the meantime, he’s certainly aimed for variety in his career thus far, with previous roles that include playing Howard Stark in Captain America: The First Avenger, and the fiancé to Amanda Seyfried’s character Sophie in Mamma Mia!. More recently, he appeared in My Week with Marilyn.
