Five New Images From Schumacher's Sex And Drugs Movie Twelve

After finishing Nick McDonell’s novel Twelve, it was clear that the story would make for a perfect film adaption. The characters are bleak yet colorful and the book itself unexpectedly compelling. After hearing Chase Crawford was chosen to play the protagonist, White Mike, a drug dealer who never partakes in his own supply, I was skeptical that director Joel Schumacher would abandon the source material in favor of a star-studded cast. These five new photos (via Slash Film) from Twelve have not only given me newfound hope for Crawford, but the entire production as well.

The first image, I believe, is Emily Meade as Jessica, a party girl who becomes addicted to the drug Twelve. The second photo features Billy Magnussen as Claude, a 17-year-old fascinated with obscure weaponry, and his male model pal Tobias (Nico Tortorella). The third photo is our main man, White Mike, and his stash. Then we’ve got Rory Culkin as Chris, an outcast hung up on the hottest girl at school. To Culkin’s right is Zoe Kravitz (daughter of Lenny Kravitz). IMDB lists her as playing Gabby, but I don’t recall the character from the book. You can see Emma Roberts as Molly right smack in the middle of the fifth photo. Molly, a good friend of White Mike, is probably the most wholesome of the bunch.

That’s it for now, but hopefully we’ll see some shots of Kiefer Sutherland, 50 Cent and Ellen Barkin roll around sometime soon.
