Marvel made an unexpected move today by announcing the mantle (and Mjolnir) of Thor will be handed over to a woman. Though this is a measure only being taken in Marvel comics (for now), the internet has exploded with reactions, both positive and negative. Here at Cinema Blend, we're positively thrilled about the news. For one thing, it's a smart way for Marvel to keep expanding their brand. For another, it's a new path to creating compelling stories. And also, it's about time Marvel gave their heroines more spotlight.
