The Marvel Phase 2 Box Set Is Packed With Some Great Bonuses

As a way of celebrating the conclusion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase One, a special Blu-ray box set was created – also functioning as a replica of the Tesseract from the movies and the briefcase that contains it. Now that Phase Two has come to an end, Marvel is once again marking the occasion, this time with another box set made to look like a container for one of the six Infinity Stones. And it comes with a lot of great prop replicas from the movies for you to own.

Marvel and Disney have announced both the official look and the content of the new Phase Two Blu-ray box set, and it contains a lot of great stuff beyond just all of the films (including Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man). Included inside an base that looks like the orb from Guardians of the Galaxy, those who purchase the set will also get:

Marvel Phase 2 Box Set

That covers all the physical material that comes with the Marvel Studios Phase Two box set, but it also happens to come with features not available on any other Blu-ray release. This includes a full disc with 166 minutes of bonus material, including featurettes about the studio’s famous post-credits scenes (titled "Phase 2 Tag Scenes: A Making-Of") and the process of building Phase Two and the upcoming Phase Three (titled "From Here To Infinity: Phases 2 & 3 Of The M.C.U."). The set also includes all of the Marvel One-Shots (including commentary).

The 13-disc set will be a limited edition, and will sell exclusively on Amazon for $219.99 (which breaks down to $16.92 per disc, or $36.67 per film). The set will be released just in time for the holiday season, and will start shipping on December 8th (the same home video release date for Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man.
