We all know that we have limited time on this planet, so the best thing we can do is make the most of it. There have been countless movies devoted to this very theme, but few have actually been worth seeing. If anyone can add some spice to the tired “enjoy your life” premise, it’s gotta be Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.
According to Variety, the duo have teamed up for the film The Bucket List, directed by Rob Reiner. He was so smitten with the script that he immediately signed on after reading it, and passed it along to Freeman, who then passed it along to Nicholson.
The story is about two men who break out of a ward for terminal cancer patients and hit the road to enjoy whatever moments they have left. The title, The Bucket List refers to the things they check off their ‘to-do’ lists before they die, aka kick the bucket. The producers, perhaps inspired by the plot, are also stepping on the gas: the film will begin shooting late next month.
