See Tilda Swinton & Tom Hiddleston As Vampire Lovers In Jim Jarmusch's Only Lovers Left Alive

Oh, I'm sorry, did you think end of the Twilight saga meant the vampire craze was over? Well, it's not. Not if Jim Jarmusch has anything to say about it.

The deadpan indie auteur who's done a Western, a mafia movie and a mid-life crisis story is prepping to present his take on a vampire tale with Only Lovers Left Alive. We alreadyknew it boasted such powerful performers as Tom Hiddleston, Tilda Swinton, Mia Wasikowska and Anton Yelchin, and that its story centered on the centuries-long romance of two vampires. Now, IndieWire reveals it's Swinton and Hiddleston that will portray this damned couple, and below you can get a peek at the pair in a melancholy yet beautiful embrace.

Written and directed by Jarmusch, Only Lovers Left Alive has Hiddleston playing Adam, a vampire and underground musician whose growing increasingly distraught over mankind's progression…or lack thereof. He finds some comfort when he reunites with his old flame and fellow vampire Eve (Swinton), but their happiness is threatened when her reckless younger sister Ava (Wasikowska) rolls into town.

I love absolutely everything about this. The only thing that would make me happier would be if Jarmusch confessed that he conceived of the script while riding a bicycle around an empty industrial loft.

Only Lovers Left Alive is expected to open in 2013.
