Steve Koren Delivers 1000 Words

What would you do if you discovered you only had 1,000 words to speak before you died? Naturally, you would want to make every word count. But what if you just had nothing of importance to say? Would turning into a mute extend your life sentence?

Dreamworks is about to find out. According to Variety, the studio has signed on to release 1000 Words, based on a pitch by Steve Koren. He has written several episodes of the eccentric sitcom "Seinfeld", and the upcoming Adam Sandler vehicle Click.

The project will be produced by Saturn Films' partners Nicolas Cage and Norm Golightly, alongside WAM Films' Alain Chabat and Stephanie Danan. The story is about a glib man who discovers he only has 1,000 words left to utter before he dies. Let's hope he saves the best speeches for last.
