After months of parsing through set photos and Hugh Jackman's facial hair, we're finally about to get our first look at The Wolverine in the form of an honest-to-God trailer-- but that doesn't mean we don't have to sort through a Vine video to get there. Posted by the movie itself on Vine, the video reveals a lot of quick shots from the upcoming trailer, plus one pretty huge reveal of Famke Janssen reprising her role as Jean Grey. Didn't spot her? Here's a screenshot of that quick moment:

Jean had been rumored for a return to the screen last fall, when Janssen flew to Sydney to film a cameo, but not long after The Wolverine director James Mangold said the film takes place after the X-Men have disbanded, and that there's a "tremendous sense of isolation" for Logan as a result. As you may remember Jean Grey sacrificed herself for the sake of the others at the end of X-Men: The Last Stand, and though Mangold says he's not especially concerned with continuing that story, "the burden of immortality" is weighing heavily on Logan-- the kind of thing you can imagine is tough when you've just seen the love of your life die.

Based on the blurry, sepia tone of that quick shot of Janssen, it seems pretty likely Jean Grey is appearing as a flashback, or maybe even a spectre who haunts Logan in his period of isolation. As for the rest of the video it's almost non-stop action, with claws out and samurai swords and muscles bulging. We'll wait to figure out all the details when the trailer premieres tomorrow at MTV. In the meantime you can also check out a brand-new poster from the film, which debuted at Coming Soon:
