The First Jumanji Photo Features A Badass Dwayne Johnson And An Hysterical Kevin Hart

The Rock just finished filming on the latest movie, but he's back at work already alongside all of his major co-stars in the reboot/sequel of Jumanji. One of those co-stars, Kevin Hart, has posted the first photo of our fearsome foursome in Hawaii after the first day of filming. While we don't know much about what's going on in Jumanji, these poses certainly seem to tell us a lot about our heroes.

To start off we have Dwayne Johnson in all of his Dwayne Johnson glory. Complete with raised eyebrow, he's channeling The Rock by way of Indiana Jones here. We wouldn't have expected to see Johnson playing anybody other than a complete badass, and based on this image, that's exactly what we're going to get.

On the opposite side of the coin we have Kevin Hart, who, again as expected, will be playing our comic relief. He looks absolutely terrified to be there and he's the only one who really looks out of his element. Whatever brought our characters inside the world of Jumanji, he's the one that wasn't ready or went against his will.

If these four were remaking Gilligan's Island instead of Jumanji, Jack Black would be The Professor. The bowtie and glasses give him a stereotypical "educated" look, which we're guessing will be his role in the film. He'll be the one who spends the movie fascinated by whatever it is he finds. Also, if somebody is killed by the creatures in the movie, it will probably be him.

Finally, we have Karen Gillan or as I have now taken to calling her based on this image, Amy Pond: Tomb Raider. She's truly only missing a pair of handguns to complete the Lara Croft ensemble. We know Alicia Vikander has been tapped to be the new Lara Croft, but now we're wondering if they should have considered casting a redhead. She's looking more badass than Rocky in this image, if we're being honest.

The other thing that this image seems to confirm is that one major change this version of Jumanji will be making over the original is that we're actually going to see inside the game. In the original film, the danger came out of the game and into the real world, we never saw the place that Alan Parish disappeared into. This looks to be an expedition, possibly an intentional one, into the world of the game. Either that or the characters all stop in the middle of a safari to play a board game.

What do you think of your first look at the new Jumanji? Is this a remake you want to see or yet another that you didn't ask for? Let us know in the comments.
