Lupita Nyong'o Went Undercover At Comic-Con As A Power Ranger, Check It Out

In the past couple of years, actors parading the floor of San Diego Comic-Con are not an unlikely sight. You never know when Andrew Garfield, Bryan Cranston, or even Daniel Radcliffe might show up in costume. This year, a new member of the undercover celebrity brigade was inducted, right under everyone's noses, and it's Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o. Watch the video proof below!

As you can see, this extended montage of Lupita Nyong'o sightings were conducted with the Black Panther actor concealed in a Pink Ranger uniform and an incognito white mask. With an abundance of springs in her step, she ran all over the convention center floor, without anyone being the wiser. Though if there was any sort of clue into her secret identity, it probably would have been her pointing out the figure of her character from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Maz Kanata. Then again, who'd really stop to question a Power Ranger randomly pointing to stuff at a Star Wars exhibit at Comic-Con. That's like, the perfect cover for someone not wanting to be spotted.

For the most part, Lupita Nyong'o's image is that of a very poised and regal actor. That's not to say she's above having fun, but this is the first time we can think of that we've seen Ms. Nyong'o exude this much joy on film. Seeing this video not only gives us a better sense of her personality, but it also has us even more jazzed for her upcoming Netflix project, in which she co-stars with Rihanna. While we're still not totally sure what type of project it will be, chances are with Rihanna as her partner in crime, it certainly will have swagger on the screen.

It's really cool to see Lupita Nyong'o really let her hair down through Twitter, especially because everyone that saw this specific Pink Ranger at San Diego Comic-Con is probably smacking their foreheads in shock right about now. And now, she's a part of the ranks of secret celebrity sightings that will spur unsuspecting convention goers to check each person they encounter on the convention floor a little more skeptically. For that, we tip our hat to you Ms. Nyong'o!

If you want to see Lupita Nyong'o on the big screen, disguised or not, you can see her in Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be in theaters on December 18th, 2017; while Black Panther pounces on its very suspecting comic crowd on February 16th, 2018.
