Of Course Robert Downey Jr Can't Be Serious In This Avengers Image
Avengers: Infinity War has moved on from production to post-production status. This means we are in a strange limbo between getting fun set photos from the likes of The Russo Brothers and getting an official trailer for the upcoming Marvel film. On the bright side, Avengers 4 started filming this month, and while we wait for more Infinity War first looks, I'll take whatever content the good folks who work at Marvel want to throw at us, and luckily Jon Favreau just threw us a bone with a really cute tag. Check it out, below.
Back in action in the photo is Favreau, who most recently made an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming, alongside Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow, who is also pictured here. The tagline here is "Infinity Trinity," because there are three of them in the photo, which is adorable. Of course, Downey Jr. can't doesn't take the photo opp seriously. Just because the trio are spending time together doesn't mean he needs to be in his Iron Man persona! Although how to look equal parts self-assured and charismatic in a selfie is beyond me. I guess that's why they call it acting.
Pepper Potts, eg. Gwyneth Paltrow, had only been recently rumored as part of the potential cast appearing in Avengers 4, which doesn't have an official full title yet. The Twitter image of Jon Favreau seemingly confirms reports, and gives us an early indication of who may still be around when the fourth Avengers movie hits theaters. When last we saw Pepper Potts and Tony Stark, they had set a press conference to announced Spider-Man as the latest addition to the Avengers. Of course, Peter Parker declined the invitation, believing it was another Stark test and that he had passed with flying colors. Thinking on his feet, Tony Stark and Pepper Potts seemingly used the occasion to announce their engagement. What will be going on with them next is clearly yet to be determined, and unfortunately, we can't even see Paltrow's left hand in the image.
While a lot about Avengers 4 is still up in the air, we do know quite a bit about what is coming in Avengers: Infinity War. Where to start, if you haven't already, is the bigger concern. Do you want to know more about Thanos or Nebula's roles? Do you simply want to check out which Marvel heroes have already been confirmed for the big event film? Or do you want more of an overarching look at what is coming? Whatever your taste, CinemaBlend has you covered. Be sure to stay tuned for upcoming Avengers 4 news, as well. Something tells us there will be a lot of it.
