When I think of Pitch Perfect 3, I don't often think of heavy action sequences, or generally many scenes that could potentially cause an injury (although there are definitely more in this entry than previous films featuring the Bellas). Of course, accidents can happen on set, and apparently, during the making of Pitch Perfect 3, that's exactly what happened. While filming a relatively innocuous scene at a bar, Rebel Wilson managed to chip co-star Alexis Knapp's tooth. Here's what the latter actress had to say about the incident.
If you aren't familiar with Alexis Knapp, she plays Stacie in Pitch Perfect 3 and the other franchise movies. This time around, she's moving on with her life and becoming a mom, so she doesn't go on the big USO tour with the other Bellas. However, the Bellas don't at first know Stacie is pregnant, and after a failed attempt at a reunion, they all go to a bar to commiserate. It is there that we find out Stacie is pregnant and the funny drink gag happens. Unfortunately, it seems the moment came at a price.
Alexis Knapp recounted the moment to IBT, also noting that the moment wasn't too bad and it didn't cause any issues with her work on the film. It also may have helped that Stacie was only in the movie a few times this time around, and didn't have to do any of the extensive work required for the a cappella performances.
Although Stacie is in the movie a little less, all of the main Bellas are back for Pitch Perfect 3 and the movie really strives to give us some closure regarding what they are going to be doing in the future and where their lives will be taking them. For Stacie, that means becoming a mom. For almost everyone else, that means moving on into new and bigger careers or connecting with friends and family.
